As a continuing medical education provider, Jupiter Medical Center strives to develop and sustain an educational program with a commitment:
- To improve the quality of patient care through focused educational activities designed to meet clinical, scientific, and administrative objectives related to patient care delivery and management. It will be the mission of this institution to provide educational offerings of sufficient caliber to comply fully with the requirements mandated by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. All educational offerings will satisfy the requirements of Category I programs for the Physician's Recognition Award of the American Medical Association.
- To provide programming across all specialty areas, with an emphasis on primary care, oncology, medical and surgical specialties representative of a community hospital with some specialized services. Continuing Medical Education activities will also be made available to other physicians in the local area who might wish to avail themselves of these educational offerings.
- To utilize methods of instruction appropriate to the needs of participants and the nature of the subject material, including by not limited to lecture and discussion formats, teleconferences, video, computer-aided instruction (enduring materials), self-directed study, clinical rounds, and other methods of communications and information exchange.
The entire program will be conducted in accordance with appropriate operational guidelines and procedures to fulfill the intent of this Mission Statement.
