We provide both surgical and non-surgical specialty treatments for urologic problems along with advanced diagnostic testing options. From imaging and lab testing to medical treatments and minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgeries, we offer a vast array of treatments including the most advanced technology and procedures.

Precisely Targeted Treatment Options

Jupiter Medical Center has one of the largest robotic surgery programs in the nation, we were one of the first facilities in the world to implement the da Vinci Xi system and now have six da Vinci surgical systems including the da Vinci 5, the most advanced robotic surgery system available. Robotic assisted surgery offers smaller incisions, less pain, and faster recovery for our patients.

Our urologic surgeons are utilizing cutting-edge technology such as Aquablation therapy for BPH. Aquablation therapy is performed by the AquaBeam Robotic System, utilizing automated tissue resection for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms due to BPH. Aquablation therapy combines real-time, multi-dimensional imaging, automated robotics, and heat-free waterjet ablation for targeted, controlled, and immediate removal of prostate tissue. Most recently we became the first in the region to complete Laser Lithotripsy with a steerable Vacuum Catheter for the removal of kidney stones.

Prostate Cancer

Focal Prostate Ablation IRE with NanoKnife

"Focal Prostate Ablation IRE" refers to a minimally invasive treatment for prostate cancer where a technique called "Irreversible Electroporation (IRE)" is used to precisely target and destroy cancerous tissue within the prostate gland, while preserving surrounding healthy tissue, minimizing potential side effects like incontinence and erectile dysfunction.

Key points about Focal Prostate Ablation IRE:

  • Mechanism:

Thin needle-like electrodes are inserted into the targeted cancerous area of the prostate, and high-voltage electrical pulses are delivered between them, creating pores in the cell membranes, leading to cell death.

  • Benefits:
    • Preserves healthy prostate tissue, potentially reducing side effects compared to traditional prostate cancer treatments.
    • Can be used for small, localized prostate cancers.
    • Considered a minimally invasive procedure, often performed on an outpatient basis.
  • Imaging guidance:

Ultrasound or MRI imaging is typically used to precisely locate the cancerous area during the procedure.

Pelvic Health Rehabilitation

Millions of people in the United States suffer from pelvic floor disorders.

About half of those affected by this disorder feel so isolated and stigmatized that they never discuss the problem with a health care professional. This is unfortunate because in the majority of cases the problem can be relieved.

Jupiter Medical Center offers a comprehensive pelvic health rehabilitation program. Our pelvic health physical therapists have advanced training and experience in assessing and treating specialized conditions including pelvic pain, incontinence, pain and dysfunction in pregnancy, and others.
