George Christakis, DO

About George

Dr. Christakis earned his BA and MFA at Florida Atlantic University where he subsequently taught English as a faculty member. Inspired by three generations of physicians in his family, he realized his own desire to pursue medicine and attend medical school. He earned his medical degree at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at Auburn University and completed his family medicine residency at an HCA Program at St. Lucie Medical Center. He is board-certified through the American Board of Family Medicine.

As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Christakis understands the importance of addressing the root cause of disease and promoting health and longevity for each patient. He is currently obtaining additional training in the field of functional medicine through The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). He also utilizes osteopathic manipulative therapies (OMT) to restore structural balance in the body, which relieves common complaints, such as headaches, joint pain, and other musculoskeletal issues. We are confident he will provide quality care to each of you.

When Dr. Christakis is not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, cooking, exercising and all things outdoors.
