About Matthew

Matthew Kerr, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee joint replacement surgery. He specializes in direct anterior hip replacement, robotic-assisted partial and total knee replacement, and revision joint replacement.

He completed his undergraduate studies at Clemson University, graduating summa cum laude and receiving the Faculty Scholarship Award for "having attained the highest academic achievement of his graduating class." He earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, graduating magna cum laude.

He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Orlando Health, where he was appointed as Chief Resident in his final year. Following residency, he attained fellowship training in Adult Hip & Knee Reconstruction at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston, FL.

He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons as well as the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He has published articles in multiple peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at numerous conferences across the United States. His specialty interests include periprosthetic fractures, infections involving total joints, and complex revision surgery for the treatment of failed total joint replacements.

Dr. Kerr collaborates with his patients to create customized solutions addressing their specific challenges and circumstances, empowering them to reach their recovery goals.

During his free time, Dr. Kerr likes fishing, golfing, and spending time with his two dogs and his wife, Dr. Elaine Kerr, who serves as an anesthesiologist at the VA in West Palm Beach.
