About Morteza

Dr. Tavakol is a fellowship trained cardiologist with multiple board certifications in cardiology and cardiovascular imaging, who has been treating patients in Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens for the past 10 years. He enjoys seeing patients with all aspects of cardiovascular disease, but has a special interest in cardiac critical care, advanced echocardiography, and cardiac imaging. He believe in using multi-modality imaging to direct precise clinical care. He also specializes in treating cancer patients who have experienced cardiovascular adverse events.

PHILOSOPHY OF CARE

I believe in evidence based, guideline directed, precision care to help patients achieve their goal of overcoming cardiovascular disease and living longer, healthier, happier lives. In addition to this, I try to remember that each patient is unique, with his/her own unique set of circumstances, past experiences, and responses to therapy. As a physician, I put myself on the other side of the exam room, and begin to ascertain each individual's particular needs. Through compassion, empathy, availability, and prompt communication, I build a partnership with each patient to get to the ultimate goal of good cardiovascular health and quality of life. I have been honored to live here in this community with my wife Sophia (also a physician) and my two young children.
