World-Class Health Care Organization Garners Accolades for Patient Care

JUPITER, FLA. (May 28, 2018) – Jupiter Medical Center announced that it has once again received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines^®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes Jupiter Medical Center’s commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines rooted in the latest scientific evidence.

Jupiter Medical Center’s Stroke Rehabilitation program focuses on helping patients relearn skills lost due to stroke in order to achieve the highest level of independence and improve their quality of life. The team employs a multidisciplinary approach, combining the advice and expertise of multiple physicians simultaneously, to individualize treatment based on the unique needs of each patient.

According to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, stroke is the number five cause of death and a leading cause of adult disability in the United States. On average, someone in the United States suffers a stroke every 40 seconds and nearly 795,000 people have a new or recurrent stroke each year.
