Jupiter Medical Center is One of the First U.S. Hospitals to Treat Patients with the AliyaTM Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) System

Jupiter, FL April 24, 2025 – Jupiter Medical Center is one of the first hospitals in the United States to use a promising new, minimally invasive treatment called Pulsed Field Ablation for lung tumors.

Dr. Kevin Green, Interventional Pulmonologist, and Dr. K. Adam Lee, Cardiothoracic Surgeon and Medical Director of the Thoracic Surgery & Lung Center of Excellence, recently performed the procedure using the Galvanize Therapeutics Aliya™ PEF System.

PEF ablation is performed bronchoscopically; a needle is passed into the tumor, which delivers short pulses of electrical current. The current damages the tumor cell membrane without requiring thermal processes and destroys the tumor, while preserving surrounding healthy tissue.
