Jupiter Medical Center Makes Newsweek’s “World’s Best Hospitals 2025” List
The elite award recognizes the hospital as a global leader in quality health care
JUPITER, Fla. – March 14, 2025 - Jupiter Medical Center, the area’s only independent not-for-profit health system, has been recognized on Newsweek’s list of World’s Best Hospitals 2025. The international ranking lists the best hospitals in 30 countries based on hospital quality metrics, patient survey results and medical expert recommendations. This is the fourth consecutive year Jupiter Medical Center has been named to the list. The designation also acknowledged Jupiter Medical Center as a global leader in Infection Prevention & Patient Satisfaction.
Newsweek’s annual World’s Best Hospitals list establishes a ranking that serves as a comprehensive resource for the top hospitals globally, and the award was presented in partnership with Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The ranking can be viewed on Newsweek’s website.
“This recognition underscores Jupiter Medical Center's well-deserved reputation as a leader in delivering world-class care,” said Amit Rastogi, MD, MHCM, President and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center. “Our team is committed to achieving the highest standards in healthcare quality, safety, and patient experience to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.”
Jupiter Medical Center earned additional recognition beyond its general global ranking. Its Infection Prevention recognition was based on The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) calculated Standardized Infection Ratio.
The lists are based on four comprehensive data sources, and a global board of renowned experts supports the continuous development of the methodology. The data sources are:
- Hospital Quality Metrics: Medical indicators, e.g., data on quality of care for treatments, hygiene measures, patient safety and waiting times. This year, a new hospital data source from the Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals was added.
- Recommendations from Medical Experts: Online survey among tens of thousands of doctors, health care professionals, and hospital managers in 30 countries.
- Results from Patient Surveys: Survey of patient satisfaction with hospitalization. Patient experience reflects both the quality of care and the patient’s satisfaction with the hospital stay.
- PROMs Implementation Survey: An optional online survey on implementing and using PROMs (Patient Reported Outcome Measures) in hospitals. PROMS are standardized questionnaires patients complete to measure their quality of care and outcomes. PROMs are a high priority for CMS and, in recent years, have become a key topic in health systems worldwide.
Based on the above four pillars and their respective weights, a final source was calculated for each hospital.
The countries featured on the list were selected based on multiple comparability factors, such as standard of living/life expectancy, population size, number of hospitals, and data availability.
This international recognition is one of several recent accolades for Jupiter Medical Center. In late 2024, Jupiter Medical Center again achieved the prestigious “A” Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog nonprofit watchdog group. Additionally, the hospital was recently recognized on the Forbes list of “America’s Best Mid-Size Employers 2025.”
