Checking In

Once you arrive at the hospital, a friendly staff member working the front desk will be able to assist you. You will be issue an identification bracelet that will help anyone who facilitates your care identify you. Please do not remove this wristband at any time during your stay. Important information about your medical records are on this band which will help your doctors keep track of how your care should proceed.

After you check in, be sure to get the name of any doctors and nurses that provides you with care. We are adamant supporters of The Joint Commission’s SPEAK UP initiative, which encourages hospital patients to speak up about how their care is handled. Ask us our names, ask if we washed our hands, tell us about concerns you have— we want to hear it!
