Support Services for Patients & their Loved Ones
Jupiter Medical Center offers comprehensive support services for cancer patients and their families. From patient navigation and psychosocial support to extensive rehabilitation therapies to assist with the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual issues a cancer diagnosis brings, our team takes pride in treating the whole patient—not just the disease.
Our tools and resources include:
- Complimentary Patient Navigation Services: These services provide you with information and the guidance needed to manage a cancer diagnosis and treatment. No matter where you are in this journey, your navigator will collaborate with you, your doctors, and your treatment team, so that you can receive the customized, comprehensive, and concise communication you deserve. To speak with a patient navigator please call 561-263-4400.
- Psychosocial Support: Oncology social workers are educated and skilled in assisting with the psychological, social, emotional, and spiritual issues that face people dealing with cancer. Acting as an advocate for patients and their families, our social workers focus on your needs—offering support and coping methods to handle challenges both big and small. To speak with an oncology social worker, please call 561-263-3659.
- Support Groups: Our team wants you to know that you don’t have to face the challenge of cancer alone, and we offer a variety of support groups as well as art therapy and music therapy. For information on any of our groups, please call 561-263-4400.
- Integrative Medicine: This approach to medical care focuses on the interactions between the mind, body, and spirit in the health and healing of our patients. Jupiter Medical Center’s Calcagnini Center for Mindfulness offers an array of classes on an ongoing basis, including mindful movement, creative mindfulness, mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), emotional freedom technique (EFT), and journaling. For more information about classes, please call 561-263-6463.
- Nutrition Counseling: Maintaining optimal nutrition while undergoing cancer treatment is a way to keep you strong and reduce unnecessary complications. At any point during treatment, you can request a visit with a dietitian who can help you develop a plan to nourish your body during your treatment and recovery. To speak with an oncology dietitian, please call 561-263-3986.
- Oncology Rehabilitation Services: Our Oncology Rehabilitation Program is staffed with a team of highly skilled professionals and features state-of-the-art equipment to help cancer patients and survivors improve their quality of life and regain independence. This includes specialized programs for lymphedema, pelvic floor disorders, and urinary incontinence. For more information, please call The Cary Grossman Health & Wellness Center at 561-263-5775.
