Vascular Interventional Radiology

Our vascular system is a maze of arteries, veins and tiny capillaries spreading out from the heart to deliver oxygen and nutrients to every cell in the body. As blood circulates, it removes carbon dioxide, toxins and waste materials. Vascular disorders can affect practically any part of the body, but the most common areas we treat are the heart and limbs.

We specialize in minimally invasive, targeted treatments. Our leading-edge capabilities include GE's Innova IGS 540 System, which offers one of the largest fields of view for interventional imaging, excellent image quality and shorter exam times.

Jupiter Medical Center is the first hospital in south Florida to offer a first-of-its-kind treatment options for carotid artery disease (CAD). The Neuroguard IEP® System is a new FDA-approved medical device designed to reduce the chance of stroke during and after the procedure to treat CAD. Dr. Juan Gomez, Director, Interventional Neuroradiology performed the first procedure utilizing this innovative technology.
